Creative Arts Therapy

Creative arts therapy, as defined by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), is a mental health profession that integrates the creative process of art-making with psychotherapy to support emotional, psychological, and relational well-being.

My work is grounded in the understanding that healing can happen through multiple pathways, and that therapy does not need to look the same for everyone. Clients do not need to consider themselves “creative” or have any experience with art-making to engage in this work. When creativity is included, it is simply another way of exploring thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may feel difficult to access or articulate in words alone. For some people, talk therapy feels most natural; for others, imagery, writing, or simple creative processes can offer additional clarity or relief. Most often, it becomes a flexible combination shaped by the client and their needs in the moment.

All services are individualized and collaborative, tailored to each person’s goals, preferences, and comfort level in the therapeutic process.

Therapeutic Services

  • Individual therapy offers a space to explore whatever brings you in, whether you’re navigating a specific challenge or seeking longer-term support and growth. Some clients find clarity in just a few sessions, while others engage in ongoing work to deepen insight and create lasting change. I offer a free initial consultation to understand your needs, answer your questions, and help you get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with—someone who is attuned to your experience—is an important part of the process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Couples therapy offers a supportive space to strengthen your relationship, whether you’re working through specific challenges or looking to deepen connection and understanding. Many couples seek therapy to address concerns such as communication, intimacy, or parenting, while others come to be more proactive in nurturing their partnership. Together, we’ll explore the patterns within your relationship, build more effective ways of relating, and support a stronger, more connected foundation moving forward.

  • Family therapy provides a supportive space to navigate challenges within the family system, whether related to conflict, life transitions, trauma, loss, or reconnection. Together, we’ll create a safe environment to openly communicate, process experiences, and better understand one another’s perspectives. This work can help reduce tension, strengthen relationships, and foster a greater sense of stability and connection within the family.

Fees

Individual Psychotherapy: $250 (45 min)

Couples & Family Psychotherapy: $300 (60 min)

I believe therapy works best when it is consistent, supported, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. My fees reflect my training, experience, and commitment to providing individualized, trauma-informed, and integrative care.

I also recognize that therapy is a meaningful investment. A limited number of reduced-fee spaces may be available based on financial need, and we can discuss this during the initial consultation if needed.

My approach

I believe that each person already holds strengths, insight, and the capacity for growth within them. I also trust that you are the expert of your own life. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with those parts of yourself with greater intention and self-compassion. My role is not to “fix,” but to work alongside you—supporting you in making sense of your experiences, deepening self-understanding, and moving toward what feels more aligned and meaningful.

I see therapy as a collaborative and relational process. The connection we build together becomes a foundation for exploring patterns in how you think, feel, and relate to others. As these patterns come into focus, we can begin to understand them more clearly and create space for new ways of responding.

I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, supporting adults navigating anxiety, chronic worry, emotional overwhelm, burnout, complex trauma histories, and life transitions. I also work with individuals in high-demand roles who are managing performance pressure, leadership stress, and challenges with work–life integration. My approach is culturally responsive and trauma-informed, honoring each person’s unique identity and lived experience.

My work is integrative and flexible, drawing from trauma-focused CBT, creative arts therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness-based practices, and family systems theory. Creativity is an important part of the process, offering ways to explore and express experiences that may be difficult to put into words. I also attend closely to what is happening in the moment—emotionally, physically, and relationally—supporting you in building awareness and responding with greater intention.

My goal is to create a space that feels warm, thoughtful, and collaborative—where you can explore challenges honestly, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
